Upcoming Events Spring & Summer 2008:

May 12 - Book Study - last day of our study
Join us for a great book study! The study began on March 31, 2008, but you can still join as we review the material each week prior to the discussion. Our study is based on the Biblical book of James, and we are using Max Lucado book titled, " Life Lessons," which helps give insight and provides some good discussion questions. You may purchase the book on your own or we still have a few which are for sale. Cost of the book is $14. See more information below.
When: Mondays, March 31 - May 12
Time: 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Saturday, May 17 - Mission Event: Help us Plant Flowers at the Friendly Center!
This day is a mission day for Maumee United Methodist Church. Our singles group will meet along with others from the church at 8:30 am for a short prayer service and a quick breakfast then we will leave the building at 9:15 and car pool to the Friendly Center where we will plant flowers in the front of the building. We did this last year and it was lots of fun. Just bring a shovel, rake and some work gloves. We will be done by noon. May 30 & 31 (an all night event) - Relay for Life (Suport for Cancer) -
Although not specifically a Maumee singles event, you may enjoy being on the church team that will be participating in this event. Monies raised will support cancer research. Some of the Maumee singles will be participating. If you would like to join the team please call the church office at 419-893-8761 and ask for Becky or Debbie.

June 7 - St. Andrews United Methodist Church Saturday Night Country Music Worship Service
St. Andew's Church has started a Saturday evening worhsip service that includes country music along with relevant biblical messages. This is held every Saturday. Join us as we worship country style and support our neighboring church on Heatherdowns.

June 22 - Nan shares her quilts and her passion for this art
Join us Sunday at 9:45 am as Nan shares with us the many quilts she has made over the years and her passion for this art form. This is one of the "Lively Topics" that Maumee United Methodist Church is having over the summer during the Sunday school hour.
